Farol is a social impact strategy designed to promote health and well-being in vulnerable urban communities in São Paulo, Brazil, by connecting the community with the public health system and the City of São Paulo’s Health Secretariat. It applies advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, to improve accessibility to evidence-based Traditional, Complementary, and Integrative Medicine (TCIM) through clinical record cost-effectiveness monitoring. Its strategic pillars include integrative and natural pharmacy, social and community engagement, integrative care pathways, and the provision of free TCIM healthcare. Transversal actions focus on education, humanized and empathetic care, and data monitoring to enhance service efficiency. Farol’s ultimate goal is to democratize access to health services and create a comprehensive journey of individual and collective integrative care using local human resources.
