Training Program to Improve the Skills of Health Professionals for Promoting the Integration of Traditional and Complementary Medicine into Health Systems with an Intercultural Approach: This training program, part of the work plan of the PAHO/WHO Collaborating Center for Traditional and Complementary Medicine – Peru, aims to enhance the skills of healthcare professionals to promote the integration of Traditional and Complementary Medicine (T&CM) into health systems through an intercultural approach, in line with the WHO Traditional Medicine Strategy 2014–2023. The course covers five key modules: an introduction to TCIM, the scientific basis of TCIM, contributions of TCIM to conventional medicine, articulation of TCIM within health systems, and an overview of the current health situation. It is designed for healthcare professionals interested in incorporating TCIM perspectives into their practice. The competency profile emphasizes understanding the paradigms of TCIM and connecting ancestral knowledge with modern health systems. The course is self-paced, lasts eight weeks, and will be offered virtually in 2024.
