Nicaragua's Government of Reconciliation and National Unity (GRUN) has integrated natural medicine and complementary therapies into the public health system through Law 774. This law regulates and promotes these practices, ensuring their integration with conventional medicine. The Institute of Natural Medicine and Complementary Therapies (IMNTC) leads training, research, and service delivery, with over 21,000 professionals trained and more than 1.8 million free services provided through 315 clinics nationwide. The initiative includes regulation of natural medicinal products and community outreach programs.
