Between 2018 and 2022, Chile’s public health system provided 620,869 individual and 125,443 group/community Complementary Medicine (CM) services. Complementary therapists conducted nearly half of these encounters (48.20%), followed by psychologists, physicians, and physiotherapists. The services were mainly linked to mental health (34.61%), morbidity referrals, and spontaneous consultations. During the COVID-19 pandemic (2020–2022), 34,243 remote CM services were delivered. Additionally, in 2017, 427 public health workers completed distance learning training in CM.
