In Chile, Complementary Medicine (CM) is officially recognized as part of auxiliary health professions and integrated into all three levels of care in the public health system. Regulated practices include Acupuncture, Homeopathy, and Naturopathy, among others. The system supports 28 different therapies, divided into individual and group/community care practices, such as Herbal Medicine, Reiki, Yoga, Qi Gong, and Music Therapy. These practices are regulated through legal frameworks, with oversight by health authorities for non-regulated practices. The Ministry of Health is actively working on closing regulatory gaps through a participatory process, resulting in the development of the "Complementary Medicine and Health Wellbeing Practices Policy" and its corresponding Action Plan.
