Coleção: WHO Global TM Summit

An evidence-based integrative medicine approach for filarial lymphedema has been developed as a public health intervention to address the lack of effective treatments for lymphatic filariasis. Since 1999, multi-system health professionals (IAD) have worked together to treat patients using a combination of allopathy, Ayurveda, and yoga. Guided by Professor Terence Ryan of Oxford University, this model emphasizes collaborative care and intersectoral cooperation. Lymphatic filariasis, a neglected tropical disease affecting 36 million people globally, causes severe swelling and long-term disability.
