This video introduces the WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine (GCTM), a knowledge hub dedicated to advancing traditional medicine worldwide. As part of WHO’s traditional medicine strategy, the Centre focuses on evidence and learning, data and analytics, sustainability and equity, and innovation and technology to maximize the role of traditional medicine in global health and sustainable development. A core principle of the Centre is respecting local heritage, resources, and rights. The Government of India is supporting the establishment of the Centre in Jamnagar, Gujarat, aligning with WHO Director-General’s vision that evidence-based, innovative, and sustainable traditional medicine can be a game changer for health. The initiative reflects India’s commitment to global health as a public good, inspired by the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – "The world is one family".
